In a significant demonstration of compassion and community service, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Women in Ministry (WIM), Continent 2 Headquarters has commissioned a solar-powered borehole at RCCG FCT Province 6, Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The project forms part of the annual WIM humanitarian service and brings much-needed relief to residents of Redemption Avenue and surrounding communities affected by water scarcity.
The commissioning was done by the wife of the Continental Overseer (Continent 2) and overall leader of WIM, Continent 2, Abuja Pastor (Mrs.) Esther Odeyemi.
In her address, Pastor (Mrs.) Odeyemi described the borehole as “a testimony of a brand-new beginning,” emphasizing its role in addressing the critical need for clean and sustainable water. She noted that “water is life,” and called for greater attention to initiatives that create lasting, life-changing impact within communities.
Also present were the WIM Continent 2 Headquarters Central Parish Coordinator, Pastor (Mrs.) Ronke Bello, and other committee members, whose attendance reflected the collective commitment of WIM to sustainable development and compassionate outreach.
Speaking on behalf of the province and the host community, the Pastor in Charge of RCCG FCT Province 6, Gwagwalada, Pastor Adekunle Samson Lawal, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture. He described the project as one with enduring benefits and revealed plans to establish a water factory using the borehole to produce sachet and bottled water for Gwagwalada, the Federal Capital Territory, and neighboring states.
This initiative stands as a clear reflection of RCCG Women in Ministry’s dedication to holistic ministry—combining spiritual growth with practical interventions that uplift communities and restore hope. Indeed, a new stream of life now flows in Gwagwalada, a powerful symbol of faith expressed through meaningful action.
