The Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) is organising a virtual “Global Women’s Assembly for Climate Justice: Path to COP30 and Beyond” meeting for women and gender-diverse leaders worldwide, June 23 – 28, 2025
Nigeria’s Mariann Bassey-Orovwuje, the Deputy Executive Director, Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth, would be speaking alongside over 125 frontline leaders, policymakers, and global advocates from over 50 countries who will convene for climate action.
The Women’s Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN) International is a solutions-based climate justice organization established to engage and unite women worldwide in policy advocacy, on-the-ground projects, trainings, and movement building for social and ecological justice.
