A Nigerian agriculture expert, Mr. Lekam Ikpi Ofem, has been appointed the Director of Strategy of the World Agriculture Forum , WAF, based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
As Director of Strategy, his job entails but not limited to shaping WAF’s long-term goals and strategic priorities in line with its mission, advice on the design and scaling of flagship programs (eg. Country Councils, Global Councils), identify and recommend high-value alliances with governments, corporations and donors, contribute to policy briefs and strategic narratives, represent WAF in key dialogues, as well as mentor Leadership, advise on impact metrics and support resource mobilization strategy.
Ofem, an agribusiness expert is the MD/CEO of Digitech Seeds Nigeria Limited, Member of the global council of the World Agriculture Forum, Strategic Advisor, Africa Growth Industries Exchange(AGIX Africa)
A Federal University of Agriculture, Markudi alumnus, Ofem is a Cross Riverian of Ugep, Yakurr local government extraction.
