Q. What business do you do?
A. I run a small mind and body therapy place called “Gilead Comfort Spa” situated at 39 Drive 6, Prince and Princess Estate, Kaura, Abuja
Q. What inspired you into that particular business?
A. I had engaged in too many physically straining jobs over the years and my body begged for mercy and I didn’t think it was a necessity until I had major complications. Finding relief in regular massages and positive energy made me feel alive again. So I thought, every one needs an opportunity to feel this way.
Targeting a niche in the Christian female community was from an observation of very tired Christian women still pushing no matter the cost.
Q. Tell us more: its vision, history, and how you’ve sustained it over the years?
A. First, it started as a general body and mind therapy business till I realised my market wasn’t the general house. People want to go to places where they feel vulnurable and stay sacred. Hence our vision: to provide a safe, judgment-free environment, where christian women can experience therapeutic massage, emotional support and faith-based wellness practices.
Sincerely, God has sustained it over the years. I believe he just looked at my intent and sent support at every stage.
Q. What are the key challenges and how have you overcome them?
A. When I started I faced a lot of vile request like the common worldly word “Happy endings”. All I kept doing was declining. Did it affect my revenue? Yes, a whole lot but I kept pushing, focused more on getting a physical space no matter the size and reduced my home service. Then, light shone. I got the inspiration for the christian woman wellness space in 2025 and God has really been good to me.
Q: Your readers may want to know what “Happy endings” means. Could you be more explicit, please?
A. Lol! Happy endings are sexually pleasing gestures requested by the client or offered by the provider.
Q. Any intersection with your Christian faith?
A. Oh! yes. I must confess, it was a major struggle but now I feel so at rest focusing on the people of my faith.
Q. What is the relationship between faith and wellness or generally, between physical and spiritual health?
A. Let me use physical and spiritual wellbeing in this context. Your spirit can only be functional when your body is well. Keeping your body well helps to maximize your spiritual potential and remember the spiritual rules the physical as they work hand in hand. Because we are spirit, soul and body, we are saddled with the responsibility to keep all alive till Christ Comes.
Q. How has your social media content connected to your faith, church life, and Bible study?
A. Having to help people realise what God’s plan for their wellbeing is has also helped me dig deeper. I have also been able to understand Scriptures that address our wellbeing and see that God is intentional about our wellbeing.
Q. Would you consider yourself a faith influencer? Are you using it to win souls?
A. Yes I will consider myself a faith influencer and yes, I believe souls will be won because “the more of God we know, the more of him we become”
Q. Tell us about yourself, please.
I am an enthusiastic self-driven young lady who loves God to death and who believes in understanding the balance between the physical and the spiritual. I am focused on helping people become better even with the smallest of strides. Born into a clergy home, I have grown to understand the principles of God and I’m learning to apply them daily as I live in this world. Most of all, seeing people happy makes me happiest.
